Scrabble Corporate Challenge
I just completed working on my first project as an internship!
Last Wednesday we had our fifth annual Scrabble Corporate Challenge, which was held at the Design Exchange. I was responsible for the silent
auction as well as coordinating all the volunteers. Over the last two months I put together over 20 silent auction packages, which included a golf membership to Georgian Bay Club, numerous ticket vouchers to CANSTAGE, Shaw Festival, and Stratford, hockey tickets, and a Sony Digital Reader. As the volunteer co-ordinator I created a poster to attract volunteers at Humber, and put together the volunteer information packages. We had over 25 volunteers that night for the event!
<---(i'm on the left, glasses. with a few of our volunteers)
It was a great learning experience and I had so much fun working on it! My supervisor and I were the two running the show (We even had those cool clear walkie talkies). Citytv was there and we gained coverage that night on the 11 o'clock news. I've attached a link to a blog posting, you'll see photos and what not from our event.
Just updating. I had a lot of fun, and wanted to share :D
