Thought I would start off saying that this is an excellent idea. I am all over it.
I am interning at Frontier College Foundation, a non-profit organization that raisies money for Frontier College. The college provides programs for youth, children and adults who have difficulty reading and writing. The foundation and college are not that well known across the nation, but the opportunites they provide to canadians is tremendous.
Yesterday I was involved in one of their events, The 18th Annual Bonspiel (curling event). I did NOT enjoy waking up at 5:30 a.m. but I am glad I was able to help out with it.
So far I am enjoying my internship. The hours are fantastic! I arrive at nine and leave at five. In fact last friday our exec let us leave an hour early because of all of our hard work.
So I thought I would just share a little bit of info on what I am up to as an intern. If anyone out there knows of a company/place/person that would love to donate a prize to an upcoming silent auction I am preparing let me know!
